Born in 1961, he studied art history and philosophy at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. In 1996, he defended his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Jagiellonian University. In 2009, the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw awarded him the title of habilitated doctor of humanities in the field of philosophy. In 1988–1992, together with Łukasz Guzek and Krzysztof Klimek, he ran an independent QQ Gallery in Krakow. In 1995, he received a scholarship of the Gemeinschaft für studentischen Austausch in Mittel- und Osteuropa, University of Wuppertal, Faculty of Philosophy. In 2005 and 2006, he was a scholar at the Austrian Shang Shung Institut für tibetische Studien. Until 2010, he was a Professor at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Rzeszów, lecturer at the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow, at the Faculty of Humanities of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow and a guest lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. Author of books Martina Heideggera myślenie sztuki [Martin Heidegger's Thinking on Art] (1998, 2004) and Okamgnienie [The Blink of an Eye] (2013), Doświadczenie źródłowe a granice filozofii [Primordial Experience and the Limits of Philosophy] (2008). He published, inter alia, in Biuletyn Historii Sztuki [Bulletin of the History of Art], Kwartalnik Filozoficzny [Philosophy Quarterly], Principia, Studia Humanistyczne [Humanities Studies], Studia Philosophiae Christianae. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of “A” Publishing House.

Main areas of his scientific interests: phenomenology, Buddhology, philosophy of culture, aesthetics.
